parabola66 Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Welcome to the community!!! This is a great place to learn about cigars in general, not just Cubans. Everyone is extremely helpful and encouraging to new and old members alike. Hope to see you more around the forum. CigarDarr111 Posted February 11, 2015 Author Posted February 11, 2015 Thnx gentlemen.. Here's another newbie question 12:12 and 24:24 what does this all mean? ( super newbie question )
stogieluver Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Welcome. Glad to have your company. As to the 12/12 and 24/24 question, the answers will vary with the number of stars in the universe. If memory serves, it all started when our host decided he wanted a "flash" sale, as it were. I could easily be wrong, and I would encourage you to go to the Watering Hole forum and do a search for 12/12 and/or 24/24 and you will find lots of posts, including an explanation from our host. Anyway, basically, these are sales of short duration, i.e. 12 hours or 24 hours. The other number refers to the number of boxes and single samplers. The way it all started was a 12/12/12 sale, which was, I believe, 12 boxes of a particular marca/vitola, priced very low, for 12 minutes, at 12 noon Oz time. That morphed into a miriad of numbers of boxes for differing periods of time. All you really need to know now is that the box sales are usually posted around 7pm central US time and will remain for sale until sold or 24 hours, whichever comes first. These will be very nice cigars, handpicked by our host for quality, and priced very nicely. Good hunting, and take some free advice...increase your credit card limits NOW.
CigarDarr111 Posted February 11, 2015 Author Posted February 11, 2015 Lolll Im seeing that now!! Awesome thanks for clarifying that... Appreciate it.
Habana Mike Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Greetings and welcome! You'll figure it all out quickly if you hang around a bit. Not sure your question on the Inmensas, they've been discontinued for a while.....ask away.
CigarDarr111 Posted February 12, 2015 Author Posted February 12, 2015 I was speaking to friend that has a number of these boxes ( about 40 ) I'm wondering what level of cigar this is in terms of comparables and are these worth 1200 US. He mentioned they're 22 years of time on them, I'm trying to figure out deep to get into them or if I should even bother. Thnx a lot !!
SmittyinAZ Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 Cigardarr, To clarify, are you asking if cigars are worth the investment? If so, I think you'll find they are. How much to invest varies per individual obviously. Smitty
Maplepie Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 $50 each for 1993 Bolivar Inmensas?? Okay price. I (personally) would get maybe five at that price . Good cigars... Nevertheless, welcome to the forum! Sent by the Enigma on BlackBerry Q10.
Lant63 Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 If any had a 1994 code, I would pay that as well. Sent by telepathic super powers -Stogie Boy
