This guy is brilliant with a bow.

This will be of interest to anyone into Archery. It's absolutely brilliant (if it's true, and not doctored)

I've shot archery since I was 5 yrs old and when I saw this a few weeks ago I was simply in awe. And the thing about it is his methods make so much sense. I started with re-curve bows in the back yard and shooting carp until i was big enough to use a compound bow. My friends and I would always goof around trying to snap shoot quickly but we never went to the right side of the brace and never a fraction as fast or accurate as this guy.

Yep, that's the crazy thing - it makes perfect sense! Sometimes we can't see the forest for the trees!

I've been shooting archery for almost 10 years. Was pretty impressed the first time I saw this. After a second watch I started to have a few questions and doubts about just how good this guy was. A couple of days later I stumbled across this http://geekdad.com/2015/01/danish-archer/

Seems I wasnt the only person with doubts

I did archery for about 5 years in my teens. Hardly ever used my hip quiver as it was a pain in the arse. I just had a box with about 30 arrows next to where I stood on the line. After each round of shooting, I'd dump my arrows back in the box.

Tried archery for the first time Thursday evening. Tons of fun, but I have a huge purple bruise on my forearm where the string kept snapping into me. Hurts like hell! Video is cool. He is almost as good as me! LOL

Like someone else mentioned use an arm guard starting out. The only time I use one anymore is in the field to keep clothing compressed and out of the string. I think what helped me other than whacking it were two things. One practice standing up facing a corner in the house or grabbing a 2x4 board in the garage, lean into it and push back out and holding etc. Try developing that constant motion. Second was bow-fishing, Moving targets loving to my left had a habit of me moving just enough that I would get the string into my arm. After you get the string in your arm several times and go home with this it does not take long to figure out a grip and stance awareness to keep your arm out of the way.
