purpleloki Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Hi all. Was wondering if there is a flavor difference between these two? Other than the ED having a bigger ring gauge and the EE being a bit longer can't find much info about their differences. Would love to hear about anyone's experience with either. Saw our host had some ED LCDH 2012's.
garbandz Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 I have had too many loose Epi Esp. The Deluxe tastes fuller and richer to me. I would get the Des Dieux before either.............. Coronation Tubos are tasty too,and the Epi 1s............... 2
El Presidente Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Epicure Deluxe has a real Cocoa sweetness to it and to me a tad one dimensional. Epicure Especial more complex/more balanced. 4
Lotusguy Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 The EE is probably my least favorite HDM. I have gone through 3 boxes of the Deluxe already and every single one has been stellar (if a bit short).
BonVivant Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Epicure Deluxe has a real Cocoa sweetness to it and to me a tad one dimensional. Epicure Especial more complex/more balanced. 2013s are amazing ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ 1
SmittyinAZ Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Purpleoki - smoke a few of each if you're able and getting individual sticks. Our seasoned, or unseasoned, taste buds will differ from yours a bit. Also age makes a difference in them. Enjoy! 1

alpyigit Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 De luxe is one of my top regular rotation cigars. sweet Cocoa mentioned above, which I agree..
luvdunhill Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 What do folks think of the EDL these days? Smoking one from EML ABR 14 now and they seem to be at their prime. Definitely a sugary sweetness present. Pairing it with Yuri Dolgoruki vodka which is a very nice pairing. 1
