dangolf18
I'm thinking about making a trip down to Oz sometime later this year or next. The club I belong to has some reciprocal clubs in a few cities in Australia and wondering if anybody has been to any of the them or could offer some advice. In Brisbane, there's a place called Tattersall's Club and in Melbourne there's the Kelvin Club. Also, possibly interested in Balmoral Beach Club. Are any of these worth checking out / staying at? Thanks.
bolivr
Acknowledging your request but sorry not able to comment as I have no experience with these clubs. I hope some other members jump in with info soon, cheers,
El Presidente
Tatts Club in Brisbane is excellent. Very good rooms, great gym, great bar and set dead bang in the middle of the CBD.
cabaiguan juan
By clubs are you referring to Coutry Clubs ( golf, tennis, pool, restaurant all on one piece or real estate which you take the family too?) or like a gym membership? Being from the States these are the "clubs" which I'm familure with.
dangolf18
I'm referring to social clubs and country clubs. A social club would be like the several University Clubs in the states.
Isotonic
Melbourne has some quality private clubs that are worth investigating whether you have reciprocal rights to. I can't speak for the Kelvin Club as haven't been there but there are other top notch clubs including the Athenaeum, Australia Club, old hat Melbourne Club. Even the RACV Club has some excellent facilities including gym, pool, hotel, restaurants, bars etc. Ask your club for full list
