dememihel
Hey guys, just got a box of Cohiba Genios, 1st time buying them. Cigars look a little rough, is that a concern?
Maplepie
Rough!?! They look gorgeous. Everything's in the right place and will be good to go!!
subiemech
Box code stamped on bottom of wooden box? Mine is stamped on cardboard box only.
dememihel
Yes its stamped on cardboard and wooden box. I looked that up, and I read that they started stamping the wooden box as well
subiemech
Did you check the serial number with habanos website? Did they come up as legit? All interior packaging looks proper.

dememihel
None of the cigar labels line up, is that even an issue for concern?

ElJefe
Rest assured mate those look great and all is good. Let them rest a bit and fire one up to christen the box. Cheers.
RijkdeGooier
Just from the pictures and this is not the same as having the sticks in hand, my 2 centavos. From the inside it looks like the box might have had an issue with condensation (note the wet imprint on the inside cedar). I have checked my Maduros and the bands line up perfectly from behind. Otherwise they look a little rough. All of this can be caused by the possible humidity issue and need not indicate a fake product. I would recommend putting them away for 6 months at the right Rh, to make sure any bitterness from overhumidification is gone.
Habanoscohiba
Awesome!! I love cohiba cigars. Attractive finishing as well as packing with stamped on cardboard and with wooden box.
Bclass1
Have 2 boxes of these... 1 from our host and the other I hand picked myself. I feel that Maduro 5's are not a box to be buying blind. I've seen many "rough" looking Genios to know. Yours look pretty good compared others. Let them rest and enjoy.
Mckucci
I've never seen the Habanos seal or box code on the wooden box before.. Typically they only come on the cardboard box... However, they look 100% legit.
dememihel
Thanks. The wrappers aren't as oily and silky as I thought they should be, but I will let them rest and them smoke one to see how it is.
dememihel
Does the silkiness or oilyness of the wrapper go away with time or increase with time?
