Your dislike of the Cowboys is hilarious. I can't stand them. There was just a study that showed that the Denver Broncos are in fact "America's Team" and not the Cowboys, like they claim.

Go Lions! (So far we're actually not terrible).

DC fan, showing that 3-5 pride!

mock all you like!

great win. any time you beat dallas in dallas in overtime, especially when this is the start of their inevitable decline, is a great win. they'll be lucky to make 8-8 this year.

I think that was pretty cool. Nothing like rubbing rubbing salt in an open wound to mark a great victory for the Redskins.

In DC for business and it was CRAZY last night, I have to say from the reaction of the fans there it was as good as if not better than winning the Superbowl !!!

interesting you say that.

aussies always claim to be the greatest sports fans on the planet (i suppose lots of nations do) but i'll never forget my first evening in america. had arrived in DC that arvo after about 40 hours travelling. got picked up by a friend at the airport, we whizzed past her parents' place where i was staying and threw in the bags. then straight to a sportsbar in georgetown because the skins were playing the late sunday evening game (i remember it being the same weekend that mike ditka had a heart attack, many years ago).

even though it was a normal season game against much weaker opposition - back in the days when the skin were expected to win - and they won easily, the place went nuts. for me, every week, being in DC in footy season is like being in melbourne for the grand final week. aussies just don't get it unless they have experienced it.

one of the things i loved about DC was that although you could divide the population - lawyers, politicians, military etc, the one thing they had in common was the skins. people who would never speak would happily chat on the metro or wherever, if the topic was the skins.

Man, great game! Was watching last night as Rob was doing the LFTH. Congrats Ken, I know your a Skins fan. Hopefully their season gets rolling. Colt McCoy's confidence seemed to grow throughout the game.

I tuned in to see Colt McCoy have happy feet in pocket and his weak arm...AND then got a bonus when Braden Weeden took the field..what are the odds of that 2 bad ex Browns QB's still in the league and play against each other..

Go Browns...

Great weekend of football for me, Patriots win and Cowboys loose.

only thing better is when your team is the one that beats the cowboys.

The story is Colt McCoy. Kid played a great game for a third stringer. Kids go a lot of heart.

Washingtons defensive coordinator had a great game plan. Blitz the crap to of them. Even in overtime he kept blitzing.

Always nice to see the cowgirls lose. They have actually looked very good so far, but with Romo at the helm there not going to deep into the playoffs.

Love how everyone loves to hate the Cowboys.. Although I take nothing away from Washington in their win IN Dallas (that's right Ken), I didn't hear a single peep out of anyone here in the US or on this forum while Dallas was down right out playing every team they faced since San Fran...and that's the truth.

I have this to say as I've dealt with Dallas' ups and downs and their mediocrity the passed God knows how many years now: their recent success on how they have been winning has been the best I've seen in the passed 20 years. It's not flukes, not bs plays, not bad officiating, or just down right luck... They're BEATING teams. Downright outplaying them in every aspect. Granted, mistakes were made Monday night and Washington capitalized and I'll even say, defensively out played Dallas especially towards the end...But I'll take a 6-2 record over 3-5 any day.

I have a feeling the ending of this year will be a change in the usually scripted "Dallas' demise" and I'm even happier the last game is against the Redskins IN Washington. When Dallas comes out victorious, just like last season, and make the playoffs this year while Washington sits home, I won't be seeing any more hate mail from the main man Mr. Ken himself. So Ken enjoy this win but remember, "The sun even shines on a dogs ass some days; anybody can win the lottery" ... Including those Redskins.

all noted and understood.

but... and feel free to quote me...

every chance that when the skins whomp them in dc in last game of the year, with rg3 back at the helm (although apparently we don't even need rg3 to whomp the cowgirls), the only sad thing about that day will be that the cowgirls will have already fallen from playoff contention and that we won't get to be the ones that get to do it. even though monday might have been the game that started the rot.

in all seriousness though, dallas have done way better this year than i expected. unless the skins were to have their usual implosion (and guess what...), i thought dallas was destined for last. long way to go though.

Looks like we will be talking towards the end of the season. Should be a decent finish, even with rg3 coming back. All in good fun Ken, you know that...?

That was a helluva game! Great win by Washington.

Love all the big rivalries in NFL and NCAA . It's always fun to see the underdog win unless they beat your team!

I've been a Denver Broncos fan for many years and hated the boys from when I was a kid as that was my older brothers team. However, I was somewhat surprised to see them beat the last three teams when all the sports casters said they did not have a snowballs chance. There again it was a rivalry team and one can never predict those outcomes. Obviously there was an issue with turnovers, especially the one 10yds from the goal line. Also Romo should not have come back in after that hit as you can tell he was not taking any chances after that and their offensive game suffered. It was funny to watch the Cowboys suck so bad but it got to the point where it was like poking fun of a kid with disabilities. But the one thing I hate worse than the boy are these pro commentators that bash a team so bad and when they are proven wrong their stories flip worse than any bandwagon fan.

Id like to see those games that the cowboys "down right out playing every team".... They have been a joke for many years now. They finish ok in their division, but no post season wins since 2009.... I dont see them out playing any team.

i can now reveal that the skins win over the cowgirls was all down to my cunning plan, a plan so cunning that baldrick himself would be amazed.

for years, i have always, always, tipped the skins, no matter who they are playing. and almost always tip against dallas on principle (i may waver if they are up against the eagles or giants – other hated teams, though not quite so much). all last week, i was convinced that we were going to cop a thrashing. i had, of course, tipped the skins – it might not be good for winning tipping comps but at least i can live with myself. then the cunning plan revealed itself to me.
the day before the game, i swapped and tipped the cowgirls. i felt utter revulsion at myself for doing so but i knew, thanks to sod’s law, that the first time i tipped against the skins, no matter how big an underdog they were, they would win.
i was prepared to take one for the team! from the moment i switched, i never had a doubt that we’d win. even in extra time.
