Managed to get a week off work and booked a week in the promised land and would love to discuss possible shopping list cigars...

Im not ballin with an unlimited budget but after feeling like i should have splurged more shortly after my last well lets be honest every trip ive been to Cuba ive decided to splurge a little. Splurge being relative to my humble means... Ive come up with a preliminary shopping list and would love any input, price updates, year suggestions and just discussion in general... Off the cuff ive come up with this shopping list

Upmann Royal Robustos

Monte 520`s

Possibly a box of Sir Winnie`s

Hoyo epi 2`s

Cheers

Sounds like fun ! The winnie's are on the 12:12 atm. The same ones already rated great by them, i personally would just get a box and remove all chance. Otherwise i would search the shops for Trinidad Robusto T's might get lucky...

Gluck!

520s will be hard to find.

RRs i heard they're starting to become rare - weird. Perhaps they'll be back soon.

Epi 2s and Sir Winnies i'd just get from our host. No sense in paying more for the boxes in Cuba and using your quota that way...

Sorry... Was a tad too negative with my last post.

Varadero has a ridiculous stock of aged Montecristo 1s and Tubos. 63rd calle just ask the girls to find you a box of yellow tubed Montecristo Tubos from the back. 07 or 09 box codes with those nice screw cap tubes instead of the halfway friction tubes. Good for the price down there.

They rarely have LGC 2s but if they do, that's what i'd pick up. See if the Partagas Seleccion Privada is out there yet - or anything with the LE 2014 band. Perhaps even the Bolivar Super Corona. That's something I predict will be a nice smoke. I have absolutely no backing to taht statement. But hey. I'm trying to be positive here! ^_^

If you can, the 2011 Hoyo Piramides MAY still be found at the aeroport or whatever. 76 CUCs per box and there was still some left over in August from what I heard.

Diamondog's got it right with the Con As. Look out for Noella jars for $120

Bolivar libertadores for $110

Royal Robustos for $90

RyJ de Luxe for $120

All a give or take 10 in USD.

Any idea what the Connie A's or Winnies are going for? Been noticing the last few trips that the Varadero LCDH's have become a little less 'consistent' with their pricing on some things and have had to call them out a few times...

There were no 520s or Noellas as of a month ago.

I STRONGLY suggest getting in touch with Mr. Alfonso at 63 and asking if he has any double edmundo or robusto customs ready to go. They are fantastic.

The Sir Winstons are $331.25/box

U. RR $74.50/box

Punch EL 2013 $263.75/box great cigar and makes them a great $$ value as they go doublish anywhere else

Connie $203.75 again a great value there

Alfonso's stuff is good and worth picking up for sure, price is always right.

Just a note... Open the box in front of them. Check layers. I've had issues of mouldy tubos that i showed them the day after and was told it wasn't their cigar.

When home, FREEZE EVERYTHING.
