H Upmann Half Corona LAR OCT 13

[El Guero]

Appearance/Construction- Smooth light brown wrapper. Tightly packed foot.

Prelight Aroma- light sweet tobacco. Barnyard off foot.

Draw- Punch cut. Good draw.

Pairing- Ice water and the new 7 Seconds.

1st half- Twang on first couple of draws. Strength at mild. Creamy sweet aroma from the foot.

Toasted tobacco flavor. Good burn. Tight light gray ash. Shortbread through the nose.

2nd half- Strength picks up to medium. Coating on pallate is chewed nuts. Retro is still creamy

and almost graham cracker.

Smoke time- 50 min.

Overall just under good.

Does anyone have a May13 box? I just tried one from a new box last night and talk about windtunnel draw. Anyone else have this problem? The 2012 box I had was amazing however that cigar could have been a fluke.
