I have been buying cc's for the last 6 months and the whole "aging"cigars has discouraged what I can have now and what I need to save for later. Firebender Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 FOB? FOH.. If you read a lot of threads point you to what's smoking hot now; Hoyo Epi2, Juan Lopez #2, Punch Punch, RyJ Exh #4, Monte #2.. Plus most of petit coronas smoke great ROTT..

Zigatoh Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 A lot of it is down to personal preference, I love a young ryj cazadores or psd4 where other people might find them un-approachable for a few years thinking them too strong or harsh. Hate to say it but imo you have to learn by doing. Try some young smokes, try some older smokes, and more importantly try and age some yourself - testing them over time.

To the OP Stick to PC's...most are smokable JL 2 Hoyo, Des Dieux, Epi 2 Some are impressed with the M2,,,, better young than past uears, but still not good....the Especials is a better bet

Will some improve with age... yes; but are they all very enjoyable now: most definitely.

Des Dieux are good, but I recently bought an HQ box, and there are some spots that time needs to settle. Epi2, JL1, JL2, EX4, RASS, M2, M4, Cazzie, HUPP RR, RA SUP, Punch Punch, SCDH El Principe... I'd personally lay down des dieux over anything else that was mentioned. I have found recent (mainly 2013) boxes of VR unicos, BBF, RASS, Connie 1 and 898's have been amazing rott. I can't comment on Cohiba as It's the only marca I don't smoke. I wouldn't say that anything coming out of cuba these days was unsmokeable, let alone unenjoyable. However if i had to pick 3 best smokes straight from the fresh box these days: Boli PC, Punch Punch and Punch DC

I've got a 50 cab of HdM epi 2 (oct 13) which needs to shed a bit of ammonia but got more legs than what I'm used to for these. Curious where they'll end up with a bit of time...
