Worked for me every time. But I stopped checking since it is not hard for the fakers to just get a hold of one set of code and use it repeatedly on a hundred boxes. Now I only use it as part of the verification process when a suspicious box comes up.

The only times it has not worked was when I made a mistake entering numbers. Otherwise fine when I checked.

Completely worthless for determining authenticity. And clearly not really what Habanos was trying to accomplish anyway.

I just completely made that number up. Now add one to the number and enter again. Oh, look at that, the numbers are sequential!

There's nothing to stop a fake maker from acquiring a list of these numbers and re-using them - other than the expense and difficulty of microprinting and holograms.

Its been very effective when I've used it. The only problem I had was getting the captcha correct when checking on a few boxes , it became a bit frustrating.
