Take a ninety minute one-way drive yesterday to pick up a 6ft high humidor a guy was selling on Craigslist. Hoping it was in as good of shape as advertised...which is to say like new. Joy! Humi looks great and I pay the man, load it on top of my roof racks and proceed towards home. To celebrate, I had brought along a NC to enjoy on the return trip. Traffic was fine, my tie down fine, and all is well...up until the point I cut the cigar. Disaster strikes as the wrapper splits open 1.5 inches right at the head. It was the only stogie I brought. Tried to smoke it anyway and the slit just killed the draw. So I had to send it out the window. I am hoping to redeem myself over this 3 day weekend.

I was reading and thinking something happened to the humi while on your way back lol

Yeah, the suspense was killing me on that one..

I was waiting to hear the roof rack came tumbling down at 65 MPH... Hopefully you were able to celebrate the successful trip home with another from your collection. thumbsup.gif

The only part about the humidor is the guy had cat litter crystals in there for humidification which had a certain scent to them. While the scent is not strong or unpleasant, it is still present nonetheless. So I am airing the humi out now in hopes of the scent going away.
