mgravito Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 F***ing Australia! God bless you crazy bastards for living there. I mean...a snake... in a F***ING PARKING METER!
Ken Gargett Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 that got a bit of play in brizzy. i do have a huntsman living in my letterbox. since i moved into the house about 6 years ago, a huntsman has lived in there. you can actually see the dried corpses of the dead ones at the bottom of the box and the latest one lives hovers above them. beautiful spiders. this one only about 2 - 2 1/2 inches across. for our offshore friends, a big one can top 6 inches. they are not deadly but they can cause problems if they bite. so i am a bit careful. and he has got used to me.
Guest rob Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 I'm not good with huntsman spiders..... snakes, no problems - but I'm scared shitless of huntsmans!
Fuzz AI Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 I've got a bunch of huntsman spiders in my warehouse. Damn buggers love to hide in the pallets of charcoal and pop out when I least expect them. One scared the daylights out of a customer when it scampered across the bag he picked up.

IPORTER Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Lucky it wasn't one of these!! http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/newslocal/northern-beaches/girl-6-rushed-to-hospital-after-deadly-bite-from-rare-funnel-web-spider-in-her-northern-beaches-home/story-fngr8hax-1226918768378 That's a nasty little bugger. My Mother told me last week she has been having a battle royal with a false widow in her house in Ireland. Those lads are apparently well established on the Emerlard Isle having originated from the Canary Islands/Madeira. Not so dangerous to humans (bee sting), unlike it's cousin the black widow.
