Ken Gargett Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 is the saddest thing about that, that you are reading the sunshine coast daily? it could be anything. talk about a slow news day.
El Presidente Posted April 21, 2014 Author Posted April 21, 2014 is the saddest thing about that, that you are reading the sunshine coast daily? it could be anything. talk about a slow news day. it could have been a Romulan vessel but the shape doesn't look right. Surprisingly the Klingons didn't use the "Cloak" function 1
Guest Robo Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 The evidence is incontrovertible. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7vyVe-6YdUk
Maplepie Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Oh lord. That reminds me of that scene in "Nazis at the Centre of the Earth" Where Australians flying a B-17 shot missiles at a Nazi UFO with giant Robotic Hitler then shooting a laser out of his chest to destroy the B-17. Yes. I was sober.
Ken Gargett Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 it could have been a Romulan vessel but the shape doesn't look right. Surprisingly the Klingons didn't use the "Cloak" function i was incorrect. the saddest thing is that i am responding to you. and nice to see you've hit the turps early today! what on earth, or more appropriately, space, makes you think that klingons didn't cloak? did you never watch star trek?

You royal Wowser...i did hit the turps early as it is a public holiday ....how much have you been drinking. If they hit the "Cloak" function..... you wouldn't see it 1
Jimmy2 Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Rob has a point Ken ...you would not see it .. You royal Wowser...i did hit the turps early as it is a public holiday ....how much have you been drinking. If they hit the "Cloak" function..... you wouldn't see it
KoreanCowboy Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Very cool photo and always mystifies me that so many people believe that we are all the entire universe has to offer. And here's the Truth about cloaking devices http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/Cloaking_device
Ken Gargett Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 You royal Wowser...i did hit the turps early as it is a public holiday ....how much have you been drinking. If they hit the "Cloak" function..... you wouldn't see it nice response! i can see we are about to repeat last week's debacle! i think one is entitled to read your guff as suggesting that the cloaking function was something that was not part of klingon technology. which i would suggest is not correct. i am not drinking today because - 1. i am doing my tax, and what a fresh hell that is. 2. it is entirely possible i may still be hungover from saturday. now i will leave you to your drinking on a monday morning and return to my tax.
Ken Gargett Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Very cool photo and always mystifies me that so many people believe that we are all the entire universe has to offer. And here's the Truth about cloaking devices http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/Cloaking_device i would certainly not suggest we are on our own in the universe (and i would so love to see it proved because wouldn't that put one mighty hole in the fantasy that is religion). all i was saying is that that photo could have been anything. two further points - 1. i struggle to believe that if we are visited by a life form far more advanced than ourselves, which would presumably be the case if they can make it here because we are way off visiting them, that they would choose to have their arrival announced by the sunshine coast daily. 2. perhaps your above claim may have been more accurate if you had said "and here's information about...", rather than used the word 'truth'. given the source.
Ken Gargett Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 You royal Wowser...i did hit the turps early as it is a public holiday ....how much have you been drinking. If they hit the "Cloak" function..... you wouldn't see it all right, one last point. given you are supposedly a committed catholic, do you really think that the alleged son of god would find it appropriate for you to celebrate the day he apparently put the shoulder to the boulder, by getting pissed? just asking.
Jimmy2 Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 ET was real my mommy told me it was in 1981 when I seen the movie ! So I think they are here already Ken ...
El Presidente Posted April 21, 2014 Author Posted April 21, 2014 all right, one last point. given you are supposedly a committed catholic, do you really think that the alleged son of god would find it appropriate for you to celebrate the day he apparently put the shoulder to the boulder, by getting pissed? just asking. low blow. I am still trying to follow the lead of turning water into wine. Mind you should I achieve it I won't be sharing any with you. 1
Ken Gargett Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 ET was real my mommy told me it was in 1981 when I seen the movie ! So I think they are here already Ken ... dallas cowboy fans, kiwis, politicians... jimmy, you may be right. 1

Smalls Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 You royal Wowser...i did hit the turps early as it is a public holiday ....how much have you been drinking. If they hit the "Cloak" function..... you wouldn't see it I'm not sure that is entirely true. Just because the vessel is cloaked doesn't mean there wouldn't be any friction entering the atmosphere. The heat signature could most likely be completely visible. Now that I have taken it way past the point of ridiculousness…. You all have fun.
Coolio Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Rob I think i know who this guy is (i'll be checking later), and if it is who i think it is, then the mysterious light was probably just refraction of some other light (non UFO like) through the bottom of his wine bottle!

headstand Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 (and i would so love to see it proved because wouldn't that put one mighty hole in the fantasy that is religion) Feel free to bash religion Ken, but let's keep non-sequiturs out of the discussion shall we? Live long and prosper.
PapaDisco Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Theology, Klingons, and ET on one thread? You guys are blowing my mind! What's next? Barefoot cigar reviews in flouncy shirts??
Ken Gargett Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Theology, Klingons, and ET on one thread? You guys are blowing my mind! What's next? Barefoot cigar reviews in flouncy shirts?? i do NOT wear flouncy shirts. i think you'll find that is rob. first, i wear foot apparel appropriate to the climate/weather, or activity, at the time. if they are such that i have the opportunity to choose anything, i then look to something appropriate to the guest. 1
Ken Gargett Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Feel free to bash religion Ken, but let's keep non-sequiturs out of the discussion shall we? Live long and prosper. i am more than happy for anyone to believe anything they want, provided it does not impinge on others (okay, i know that can't be said of religion but let us assume it can for the purposes of this). and any comment i made re life from outer space was a general comment re religion, not any specific religion. but leaving all that aside, i'm to be castigated for an alleged non-sequitur? on this forum? you'd have to shut down 90% of all threads. however, possible sighting of life from outer space over easter? wow, hard to think it is not cosying right up to religion. i really don't think i have made that big a leap. i would be so happy, utterly delighted even, to leave religion alone, if only it would leave me alone. and we all know fat chance of that. 1
Warren Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 I feel like i have just stumbled into the middle of a conversation between 15 year old boys during recess.
