snakes at the footy!

this is from this evening NRL game between the titans and the cowboys (for our seppo friends, this is our equivalent of the NFL - though a smaller crowd usually: between 12,000 to 50,000 depending on the game).

they had an unexpected visitor, though what i saw on another clip suggested it was about five foot, not 3.

it did not get on to the field, just the edge and then under the stand.

it is worth mentioning that a brown snake is not the most poisonous snake on earth, just the second most!

we have had a lot of rain the last week and that brings them out. i had one under the rubbish bin this afternoon - they usually like to get away so provided you don't do anything to trap them or injure them, you should be okay.

titans have won about 7 of their last 8 monday night games. cowboys do poorly on monday night. few other factors. they were at home (snakes in the cowboy dressing rooms?). they were definitely not the little-chance underdogs most seemed to think.
