Jeremy Festa Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 You keep them long enough as pets you can feed them adult mice.. Mind you I hate them.. Many occasions I've been enjoying an evening cigar under the verandah and one anywhere from 4-10in will all of a sudden be running around my feet. They're the only thing I actually kill. Spiders? I only relocate them if the Mrs complains, don't kill them. Snakes? I have one as a pet, scarcely see them wild and they don't want to be near you anyway. These kamikaze *******ers? I take no prisoners. I don't want my ankle or my cat giving me the you had one ******* Job stare.. Awww come on Andrew! Harden up! I've been bitten by a redback. Not a great deal happened. You only have to be worried about the funnel webs really, when it comes spiders anyway. Their fangs can puncture a grown man's big toenail and supposedly it feels like being hit by a truck. ;-) From my mobile phone
Smalls Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 There are plenty of centipedes like that in the states so I doubt that would keep me away. Scolopendra heros is found here and packs a fairly formidable punch. You can find them in more arid areas looking for small children to carry away. People singing Lion King songs on a plane? Now that sounds absolutely horrifying.
AndrewNR Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 No problem with spiders jerocco, used to have them as pets once apon a time too.. Just these centipedes, do not like. Don't know why. Everything else I'm fine with. They're just too unpredictable I think
Hamlon Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 My man KP wrote some funny stuff regarding Australia in one of his books
