Cigars of 2012 - Poll

Since many cigars from 2013 came out late in the year and many haven't smoked them I thought I would create a poll for 2012.

2012 was generally thought to be an outstanding year for Habanos. The Edition Limitatads were well received as well has many of the Regional and LCDH cigars. Since it has been some time since the 2012 cigars were released I think it is time to rate them. I have not included any of the humidor or book releases. I have personally smoked two or more of 7 of the choices. Also, no regular production cigars are listed because they are produced every year. Cheers!

I've only tried the Monte and the Partagas.

At first, didn't like the Monte, but now with some time, it has really come around.

Tough choice, but based on how they tasted at the time I smoked them, the VR XV anni takes it by a nose for me.

Very close behind, and could pass in time, are the ERDM Asia anni and the C3. I had bad luck with the 520's.

I'm close!! Only had the Monte 520 so I guess that will be my vote! Probably would have been anyways because I do really enjoy them.

Can't be much help seeing that I've only tried the VR Reg. Canada. It got my vote by default however it was a really good smoke.

TrIed lots and lots of these! The PL Italia might be a contender since I have 10 of them cookin' from our trip to Sicily. We won't be getting any again soon so I am going to let them sit for a good long time.

I went for the RE Canada.

I'm on my third box of HDM Epi Deluxe. Love them and the price is right so that's what I voted for. I tried a lot of sticks from this list, but not all.

The Monte IS a great cigar.. No surprise there, although I haven't smoked them all.. A tough decision

Want to try the monte 520 but have not heard much about the others. Smoked my first JL 4 RE last night and loved it! Living in the states we cannot just walk into our local cigar shop and grab one of these cigars and take it for a test drive, so unless I see members raving about an LE or RE I stay away. Plus the fact regular production was so solid this last year I have not really gotten involved in the LE and RE markets.

Though did grab a few HU RR's.

So far the Monte El and VR RE are running away with the voting. I was one of the guys who voted for the Upmann EL. I enjoyed it because it smoked like an Upmann on steroids to me, with some of that EL coca and cream.
