Hafner32 Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 I know that the Connie A have just recently been released and the first few boxes were recently offered up by our gracious host and gobbled up very quickly, but I was taken back a little when doing a little googling of this new stick. Seems Habanos has priced this stick very similarly to the Sir Winston. I would be very open to hearing from those how have tried this stick to see how it measures up to the Winnie. i have read some good initial reviews on this forum and others but i just find it hard to believe that if I was going to spend the coin on a high end upmann, that I would choose the Connie A over the Sir Winston. Any input would be appreciated
Habana Mike Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 But the Connie A has that cool band..... I've not had one yet so can't comment on how they compare, though I do enjoy the Winstons indeed.
Strada Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 I love the new Connie A and I probably smoked half a box already but the Sir Winnie is just a classy cigar. Winnies all the way
tmac77 Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Well when it is on the sir winnie is a hard cigar to beat. I, however have not had much luck with sir winnies of late so in the near term the Connie A gets my vote on recent production while the sir winnie wins over the long term.
Orion21 Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 I have a box of the Connie A's coming, but have smoked my fair share of Sir Winnie's. If the Winnie's are available they are going to be new production. I posted a thread about asking if anyone had tried the 2013 vintage and the overwhelming response was something like this: "I have the 2013, but won't be touching them for 5 years." It seems to be the consensus that Sir Winston needs a lot of time to develop into that "great" cigar of legend. However, it seems the Connie A may be a good cigar young. Also, since original release cigars are highly sought after I wanted to jump on this one, since guys like Simon and Art were saying really good things about them.
