TM-US Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Cold draw, no noticeable flavors. Wrapper has nice aroma of stone fruit. Honey flavor at start. Middle third slight build up of power, loss of honey flavor. Build up slightly of pepper notes. Final third I had to relight and purge due to some tar buildup. Strange flavor note of blue cheese on the front with a bit of dark bitter chocolate on the finish. Body remains medium but flavors intensified and chocolate comes to the forefront. Not exactly what I expected from an old-school Partagas blend, but very good overall. A 90 out of 100.
dicko Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Thanks for the review. Interesting flavour profile
laficion Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Nice review of an old fav. that never changes. Bravo !!!!!
ksblazer Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Funny that I see this posted here, as I plan on smoking one this evening. I really like the perfecto shape and the flavors I get from this cigar.
potpest Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 I've only had one single and really didn't enjoy it; ended up pitching it half way. I Will revisit as I'm a fan of partagas usually
TM-US Posted November 9, 2013 Author Posted November 9, 2013 Very hard to find, I think they must not roll a lot of these or the rollers that can roll a perfecto are becoming scarce.
kwsaw63 Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Thanks for the review. A nice cigar that is often over looked unfortunately.
JohnS Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 An interesting cigar for its old-school Partagas flavour profile. I would like to try it one day. Incidentally, it was up on the 24:24 sales a few days ago.
