bassman
Had a nice rib eye steak tonight. Cooked it with sauteed onions & mushrooms & paired it with a $15 of Tikal Malbec that I actually hauled back from Esquel , Argentina. That in itself makes it special. Damn good full bodied wine too, For desert I had a 98 Vegueros #2. Inexpensive & not complex, but wonderful sweet tobacco flavor. Don't smoke them daily, but for a light bodied yet flavorful smoke, threy do indeed make me cheerful. Rather get another box of these then the new release. And because of vegueros less then stellar rep, still plenty around if you now where to look.
Othello
Nice! I recently discovered Argentinian Malbec and love it! As for the Vegueros, I've never tried one. I should remedy that with a nice glass of Malbec.

garbandz
worked in a wine shop, probably tried 20 different Malbecs.Could not find one I liked.Closest was a malbec/cab blend.Didn't really like it either. would like to find some old Vegueros,though...........
