ogus Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 A fella and I started a friendship a while back that has survived tension between us. He has been increasingly enjoying our fellowship of late. I recently dug into the stock and gave him my last short churchill and we partook of a good long smoke together. I think this has pushed him over the edge to a new level of appreciation for me and the blessing of a good smoke. Good investment in happiness and peace.

cigcars Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Hmmm. Sometimes there can be nothing like an adversary turned friend
jstilly1 Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Hmmm. Sometimes there can be nothing like an adversary turned friend I'd have to agree with this sentiment; nearly all of my best and longest lived friendships started with me at someone else's throat--then, too, friendship itself is fitted better to adversity than all other human conditions according to Tully, so that would seem sensible in a roundabout way.
jstilly1 Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 Tully Blanchard the wrestler? Not quite...Marcus Tullius Cicero from, "On Friendship."
ogus Posted October 17, 2013 Author Posted October 17, 2013 Cicero. "Jules" Caesar, Tully Cicero, Marky Marc Antony. Why didn't you say so?
