Habanos2000
Why would anyone fake that knowing the entire world is watching the replay?
Ken Gargett
Why would anyone fake that knowing the entire world is watching the replay? i think he felt stupid at losing control and bale zipping in and pinching it so tried for the penalty. had bale scored and it is called back and bale pinged then the goal is saved and who cares what he looks like. for me, soccer will never be the serious sport it could be until they address this. a panel looks at all such instances post match and if they believe it was dodgy, they should have the power to do everything from annul the result to lengthy suspensions and fines on the player and if it persists, the club. Jeremy Festa
Why would anyone fake that knowing the entire world is watching the replay? To cover up a fumble. And it worked. Football is and always has been a performing art/sport! ;-)

Fuzz
What else does soccer really offer? If the players didn't do a dramatic dive every once in a while, they'd be no action whatsoever! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sYUa7DpPses
