tommggeorge Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Had one from a 2010 box a few nights ago and it was spectacular. I have had roughly one a year from that box and have enjoyed every one more than the last. Not sure I'll smoke the rest as slowly though. Im not sure it had much room for improvement. 1
BRAC Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 WAY better with age IME. My 2010 box is smoking incredibly well right now. 1
HarveyBoulevard Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Just had a freshie tonight. Love these fresh or aged. I've plowed through boxes and its one of my favorite smokes. They can be a little brash fresh and do tend to settle down with some age. One of those cigars that smokes different young vs old but great either way. 1

I gave mine 4-5 months. 90% of the harshness left the stick. Only the end was a bit acrid, but given it's general performance. The P.2 is an excellent Pyramide to buy. And much more consistent than the Monte. No. 2s.
El Presidente Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 I have had fresh (sub 2 years) and aged 5 years +. Have had crackers of both, duds of both. They need to have a wow factor to them. Silky Rosado wrapper, fresh is great. Oily dark thin wrapper, 5 years +. Paperbark wrapper, you can keep them, I detest them.
Maplepie Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Had one from 05 with user= Ryan two days ago. He saw my posts that I'ven't'd one for a long time. So he showed up and cracked the 05 box. Stellar BotL. Stellar dram of Midleton. Stellar country of Ireland. Meh cigar. It was extremely mild and reminiscent of my first P2. Obviously aged flavours. But it did remind me of why I'ven't smoked a P2 in a while. Addendum: don't get me wrong. I really enjoyed the stick. But perhaps it was just me? A Ryan did mention that it was missing something in it... I'd agree with that without reservation. Perhaps i'd even call it one or two dimensional? It did have a very pleasant Retrohale, however.
