Lant63 Posted July 4, 2013 Author Posted July 4, 2013 I am really more of a medium to full bodied smoker, does anyone know what the super robusto body is like?
CaptainQuintero Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 You'd probably get a steady medium body if you get a HQ box, the more oils and stronger aroma usually boost it up a little I find. Punch isn't a particularly full bodied marca in my experience, everything is pretty dead set medium
Duxnutz Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 I'd personally love for the Super Selection (1 & 2) to make a comeback. In my mind the 2 would make a fantastic EL.
TM-US Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 I know they're not as popular or acclaimed, but I'm a fan of the punch punch. I've gotten a good 10 ct tubo box and dress box from Rob. Great flavors although I don't remember them right now. I have to mention however that you need to find a great box or they have the reputation of being crap when they're off.
Lant63 Posted July 8, 2013 Author Posted July 8, 2013 So is the general consensus that the sabrosos is better than the super robusto?
CurtisEss Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 I haven't tried the Sabrosos, but based on the Super Robusto that I smoked today, I would have to say that the latter needs at least two more years of age on it to come into its own. It promises to be a very refined, nuanced cigar, which its first half is. Very Punch-y. I hope this helps your decision.
marty922 Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 If you can find RS 11's, grab them. I've got a box of 07 that's great, but the 01's I sampled last year were awesome.
stargazer14 Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 I am enjoying a box of PCDP this year, wish I could get more. Also finished a box of Punch Punch which were not bad but not that memorable. Now, if you could find some Punch Petit Punch... That's a cigar.
