Famosos, how is recent production smoking?

This was one of my first cc purchases several years ago and while tannic at first came around quite nicely as I got towards the end of the box. I was disappointed they started getting really good as I only had a few left and have heard everything since has been abysmal. Someone mentinoed in the daily smoke thread that 2012 has shined its glory on them once so I'd like to see if others have had the same experience. Really a lovely hermoso far preferred to unicos I've had.

I've had a few lately , anywhere from oct '12-jan '13 box dates. They are great! Not as good as some 2010's I recall, but still a "must have" for any humidor.

I have a box of AGT ABR 12, construction is perfect, dark wrapper, tons of dark chocolate coming through but they have a very strong amonia/tannic taste to them that just ruins the experience. Anyone else have the same experience? I am thinking that age will do wonders to these because the profile is amazing and I hope that the unpleasantness disappears with age.

Surprisingly, I lit one the other day and let it go out after about an 2-3 puffs or so because it was really bad, purged it and clipped the burnt end and put it aside, don't know why but I lit the next day and it was fantastic. This was truly a wtf moment for me!

How long did they take to come around?

Yep someone received them from a *****A post . Exactly what I expected a magnificent box of VR Famosos . Really enjoying them. Not sure I said anything about shining glory. Never the less absolutely magnificent, see if you can chase yourself down a HQ box roman_cojones .

That is a good question, I have 4 or 5 boxes from Jun-08, PSP's I got from Czar. The first boxes of the brand I had ever bought. I have to say the are one of my favorites. The chocolate and coffee flavors are amazing. They pack a good punch also which I like. If I am the mood for a great cigar I know is going to be dead on I grab one of these. Not sure how the recent production has been but have not heard anyone raving about them lately.

This was the box code I had when they were young, unlike any other cigar out there. It was everything montecristo wishes it could be.
