Maxismoke Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 I saw this in May, and there's another post from April. May cost me dearly, and i'm starting to worry this might be a monthly event. is that so? If that's true, i'm in trouble...
Munts Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Phew!.... for a second there i thought you were going to ask what PSP, HQ and PE meant.....
Rye Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Phew!.... for a second there i thought you were going to ask what PSP, HQ and PE meant..... What? People ask that?? Haha!

If that's true, i'm in trouble... RUN WHILE YOU STILL CAN I remember the day I thought my 50-count humidor was excessive....
AndrewNR Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 I remember thinking I'd be lucky to ever fill my 300 count display humidor.. Then overflowing that and my cooler.. And still being tempted..
Misterblue Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 What? People ask that?? Haha! Ha! Starting to love this q.
Phillys Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Last year I thought my 50 ct was rather large, a week later I was looking for a cooler. I remember at that time thinking that there is no way I can ever fill my 150 Qt Cooler, it is much too big for my needs. Well it is now about 70% full and the desktop is a drybox now!

I never thought i'd fill this. :-)
Dara Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Just remember, they're investments for the future (if any of the cigars survive that long)!
Maxismoke Posted May 28, 2013 Author Posted May 28, 2013 That's what i tell the wife... Like money in the bank.. ;-)
fokker4me Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 The problem comes when you only like to smoke "investment grade" sticks. When your out growing your wine fridge, and have a locker at a club and still hunting for space to store boxes you may have a problem.
CanuckSARTech Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 The problem comes when you only like to smoke "investment grade" sticks. When your out growing your wine fridge, and have a locker at a club and still hunting for space to store boxes you may have a problem. My wife still WISHES I was at that stage!!!! When you're hunting for space to store additional coolers, not just boxes, that's about when it's time to enter the 12-step program. LOL.
DrunkenMonkey Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 'investment grade sticks'? What in the world does that mean? My advice is that if you think of your cigars as investments, and then smoke them, then you're a terrible investor.
Fuzz Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 'investment grade sticks'? What in the world does that mean? My advice is that if you think of your cigars as investments, and then smoke them, then you're a terrible investor. They're sticks you invest in for future enjoyment!
DrunkenMonkey Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 So 'investment grade sticks' are just any cigars you like? So aren't those the only cigars that anyone would like?
Phillys Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 I would qualify investment grade cigars as higher end HQ or PSP, or yet again a cigar that has a very low P/Q ratio if you are a value investor. I also invest in cigars, investment in my future happiness that is , but don't tell the wife, she thinks that I will sell them one day .

Tino Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Bite the bullet and convert an unused closet into a walk-in humidor. If there's a woman in your life there's no such thing as an unused closet!
Dara Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 That's what i tell the wife... Like money in the bank.. ;-) I've never smoked money but I'd be willing to bet that cigars taste better!
Roanoke Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 I've never smoked money but I'd be willing to bet that cigars taste better! I've had a few that'll prove you wrong there!
fokker4me Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 There was sarcasam expressed there. I just referred to them as that because someone earlier did. I'm investing in my smoking future.

Had to order another one that day That's a pace I'm not on yet. I think I would go on a 12 step program at that point....... but then take the 13th step back down. It took 6 months to fill the 2nd one and i ordered my 3rd 72 bottle fridge on Monday
polarbear Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Bite the bullet and convert an unused closet into a walk-in humidor. What would I do with the fridges? I'm not a big wine guy and 216 bottles is quite a lot Plus, I live in the tropics where its usually above 32degrees C I'd need to refridgerate the closet
