edit: my question is answered, thanks. All Behikes are box coded El Laguito, although maybe not rolled there according to Rob's older thread.

Hey fellow FOH Havana 2012 crew... quick question for those of you that were on the El Laguito tour with me last November...

Did any of you get a picture of the box codes, remember box codes or know without a doubt what the box codes were of the Behikes that they were rolling and boxing while we were there? I unfortunately didn't pay close attention to box codes and I just recently got a box of Behike 54's with a box code of BTO Nov 12 and I wanted to make sure those came from El Laguito. If so, I am really happy with my box as it will serve as a memento of our tour that month since all they were rolling/boxing were Behikes! (besides the King of Spain CCE's!?!)

Any pics, can you please share? Thanks! smile.png

no... it was widely reported/known a little bit after they were released that because of demand, they allowed top rollers to produce in factories other than El Laguito to keep up. I can't be certain it's still that way, but that's how it was.

Sorry, Ryan,

just checked a ton of pics I have from the all the guys with me that day, but couldn't find a single one with a box code.

Enjoy the box !!

Thanks Nino and Enis for looking, I appreciate it.

And I guess I did answer my own question by posting Rob's older link (thanks mk05 for pointing the obvious out to me!?! LOL) As I read back then but somehow wasn't thinking today... even the Behikes rolled somewhere else would be all box coded El Laguito, so there really isn't a way to know where my cigars came from for sure.

Oh well, I would think the percentage of Behikes coming from El Laguito are pretty high, especially seeing all they rolled that day. I will just go ahead and consider my box a souvenir/memento of my tour. :)

Aloha!

Just to quote the paragraph from Rob's old thread that I linked above:

"The Behike boxes made there would not be stamped but shipped back to El Laguito so no consumer would know the box of Behike they were purchasing would come El Laguito (as promised on release) or elsewhere."

Hey...sorry, I don't have any photos with Box Codes...

E

Sorry Ryan, checked mine as well (what little I have, aside from pics from Nino, Enis, and Frank), and I didn't photo any box codes either. Frank's about the only one that might hat some pics then.

Regardless if they were rolled at El Laguito or Partagas (specialty unit) they would have all been coded BTO from that period.

Rob, are they only rolling these at those two now? Weren't they also rolling them at the Trinidad factory? (Cienfuegos or Pinar de Rio factories?)

Can't remember either way. I just thought they were doing them at the same locale as Trinidad for a stretch, and couldn't remember if it's still the status quo (didn't bother to really ask during our visit either - no hair off my chin either way). LOL.

My understanding is that it still only at El laguito and Partagas. I haven't as yet been told anything definitive otherwise.

I could be wrong mate.

Sorry, I thought I answered your question. Didn't mean to sound like a ****!
