Thanks for all the advice and info for my Havana trip... smoked a ton of cigars... met and smoked a cigar with hamlet and got to find nearly every single ive been looking to try... Came home with

Beaut 10ct Monte 520's

15 HU Royal Robustos

10ct Partagas 898

10 ct Partagas C3 LE

5 HU Sir Winstons

Few Monsdales....

Missed an appointment to grab some flying pigs pretty bummed about that but overall a great trip... got to try a ton of cigars i hadnt tried but had a really poor Behike 52 and 1966... not sure if it was a case of bad boxes or humidor issues (bought at the habana libre) but the 1966 was extremely plugged and rather harsh and the Behike was a complete wind tunnel.... on the other hand i had my first Lusi and sir winston and only wish i could have brought back some boxes of each.... i took some pics of the boxes i bought to post later.... again thanks for all the advice guys...

Good stuff! You smoked and hung out with Hamlet but brought back Mons? Funny, and good choice!

we had arranged for him to drop off 10 at our hotel but it fell through i lost his number in my travels and he was off till after we left... ohh well...

Sounds like you had a great time! Too bad about the pigs.

Very nice brother! I'm going there in 2 weeks for the first time!

Nice - I still havent been. Wife has been many times. If her visa interview is a success and she flys to cayman with me this weekend, we might make a quick trip in next two weeks. What are your trip dates and where will you be?

It isn't unusual for singles in stores in Cuba to be fake. When going with a group we try to split boxes vs buying singles.

Ya although we bought the behike and 1966's fr the havana libre I would not be surprised if those two weren't the McCoy... Also don't travel w friends who blow their cigar allotment on Belinda's. Its enough to make a grown man cry and then belittle said friend incessantly for years after.

Ha! Almost my exact experience, except my second wasn't plugged, it was just harsh and not very good (same as first). Third was stellar however.

I have not had any luck with the 66's. my first was very underwhelming and my second was the same...so I got rid of the box to someone who was thrilled with them ( to each their own...) I will get another from Rob when the market loosens up a little and they become available again

Agreed, unfortunate as that is to see sometimes.

LOL.

However, looking at those pictures, you made some very excellent purchase decisions there. Well done, and enjoy!

Cheers.
