Skyfall Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Grilled up some heavenly bone marrow!!!! Spread it on some sourdough bread. Oh man, I love this stuff. Pure beefy cow butter velvety heaven! One of the beefiest, richest, most decadent things you can eat, which goes to show, it doesn't have to be expensive. These two bones, cross-cut cost $4.35 USD. I didn't get any post cooking pictures, sorry, after devouring the marrow, I attempted to pick up my phone and it shot out of my slippery marrow laden hands and flew about 7 feet across the room. It is still MIA.
Lotusguy Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 I love marrow!! My local mexican supermarket gives me the bones for free

Cohiba Stevie Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Interesting.... How did you cook the above skyfall? Oven roast or under direct heat? Sounds delicious any way!
Skyfall Posted April 8, 2013 Author Posted April 8, 2013 In the grill, but under a infrared burner. Salt, pepper , just until it gets soft and gelatinous. PS. There is nothing worse than over cooked, over rendered bone marrow ! Also you need to have a real bold Red Wine to stand up to it, and counteract the fattiness of it. Like a good old vine zin.
Puros Y Vino Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Mmmmm...Osso Bucco as it's called in Italy. Good stuff.
