New RASS are tasty too. A great bit of 'mongrel' and outspoken.

I think its best to approach a cigar for what it is... Not what it could be. You could miss out on some great experiences.

Well said.If they're smoking good and in your flavor/profile wheelhouse then smoke away. With RASS smoke em while you like em but maybe take 5 and bury them because they do offer something a little different in 3-5yrs so ya never know, you may like the aged one's better.

Talk about a blast from the past :)

Have to agree on both thoughts in regards to fresh vs old RASS. They are literally 2 different cigars.

Around a week ago i smoked a 2008 RASS which was by far the most flavoursome Cigar that i had in a very long time and the flavours consisted mostly of dried fruits and sweetness to keep it simple.

Smoked a fresh RASS yesterday night and it was all about spice, little bit of earthiness, little bit of roast tobacco and very little sweetness from time to time.

I prefer the 2008 version by miles but the fresh one was a seriously awesome smoke!

As Olotti said, smoke some fresh if you like them fresh, otherwise burry some for a few years and you won't be disappointed with the outcome!

Happy smoking everyone :)

Good review Ash.

RASS is one of my favorites, but didn't realize they are pretty strong; I rushed one few weeks ago, and it kicked me in the stomach pretty good. That may be why I like RASS - strong and full of flavors..
