I've got a crack near the nub of a stick I want to smoke tomorrow. Will use a wrapper from a dumper but not real sure on what I should use to adhere it...

Any suggestions...I thought maybe some sugar and water??

You can probably by pectin in a grocery store. Mix it up with water and you have the perfect cigar glue. No side effects except you may get some on your fingers! You can actually buy "bottled" cigar glue in online stores, not that hard to find. Do a search and you shall find

I have used "cigar glue" with ultra thin rice paper rolling papers to mend ones that I just couldn't bear to toss. The rice paper leaves virtually no taste, and can mend large damaged or missing wrapper.

Just be sure not to use paper Rollie's, as it will leave a cigarette like aftertaste.

Arabic gum is what I use and when it is beat to crap I use wrapper leaves I saved from clipped caps.

Here is a little vid I did of a the revival of an almost dead example.

I wasn't thinking the other day, and pulled a cigar out of my Temp and RH controlled humidor in a room 20 degrees colder and much drier, and within 30 seconds the wrapper contracted due to temp change and split from head to foot, all the way. I was super ticked!

I smoked that B anyway!

Arabic gum. You can find it in art stores. Buy a bottle and a small brush and you're set. Work's like a charm.

I do that all the time in the Winter. Haven't had one crack yet!

I take cigars out of the humi and smoke them at minus 25 and they don't crack. Maybe you're just unlucky David.
