So I recently acquired some HdM DC's and have some concern. Check the pics below and notice how different the white space on the top and bottom of the bands are. I understand this can just be a simple cut problem coming out of Cuba but wanted to put it out for the masses. If anyone else sees anything else wrong, please let me know. If anyone wants to know the vendor, please PM me. Thanks

Don't have any to compare to on hand but compared to other pictures they look similar. 1 band seems noticeably different than the others in the amount of white above. Your wrappers look much darker and oily than anything else I'm looking at. They look like fine cigars to me.

The spacing on the bands looks even throughout. Mine do not. Just not sure if thats a reason to be concerned or not.

The white on both the top and bottom on mine are uneven and not centered.

I see what you are saying. In my limited experience, I would still say they are legit. I've seen some funky bands, even on Cohiba 1966s that were completely legit.

Fake! Send to me for immediate safe disposal!!! :innocent:

I hardly pay any attention to bands anymore wink2.gif

If you were to pull a few boxes each of Punch DC, RAG, HDM DC, you will notice they are all over the place month to month.

I remember a few years ago in the Melia Cohiba Divan Havana where there were two different sized bands in top and bottom rows of Punch DC. They never throw bands away.....close enough is good enough.

I spy with my little eye, 3 different factories? Mix and match?

I donno, cigars look fine to me.

Edit: remember the czar site that had 4 rows of dots on the Cohiba?

In case, the quote above does not answer it

Is the OP a joke?

I know the vendor and source of these cigars and you got some great cigars to enjoy from a stand-up BOTL. Just saying. Btw, before I make claims about provenance, unless it's crazy fake, I smoke one first. I have had the personal pleasure of smoking some from this box and they were great, as is the gentleman I received them from.

Cheers!

Plus, this band is only used on the DC and churchill, right...

I believe they only use this band on the DC now.I've read somewhere about the Churchills getting the other band in recent production.Like the last couple of years.

you joking or this for real?! confused.gif

nothing nothing wrong with bands

Looks good to me too. Bought a box of Hoyo DC two years ago straight from la casa in Varadero, bands are not quite identical. Your cigars look fine mate. Enjoy them.
