perfectform
Any sci-fi fans out there? I'm about 300 pages in and it really is a masterpiece. Especially considering that it was written in 1965! Awesome stuff.

khomeinist
Dune is quite excellent. Am reading Hyperion and I have Forever War on deck. I am enjoying SF these days. I read up on the Hugo winners and chose a few things that looked interesting....
perfectform
Same here khom. I just bought like 5-6 sci-fi classics to tear through once I've read the Dune series. Almost got Forever War but that will be on the next go-round.

CanuckSARTech
Phenomenal book (and series) that I read over a decade ago now. Really shows you how different levels of manipulation are out there in all our interactions with people (on an interpersonal level, on a workplace level, on an institutional level, and definitely at a government level). Very intuitive book, and it was definitely ahead of it's time when Card wrote it. I just also googled, and found out that they're FINALLY making it into a movie, something I've dreamed about for years. It's supposed to be out in November of this year. Hypersomniac
I own it, but still have not read it. I may have to pick it up pretty soon. I have read Ender's Game which was mentioned earlier, as well as all of the other books in that series.
