kzoo11 Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 I'm relatively new to smoking CC, so I was wondering what everyone's favorite Cubans are and why. And feel free to mention more than one! Thanks
nikesupremedunk Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 I am new too and I always wondered why I don't have a "favorite" CC. After sampling many different marcas and different vitolas from each, it's really hard to say I have a "favorite". First of all, majority of them are GREAT smokes so it's really hard to find a bad one of the bunch. With the different flavor profiles and strengths of each marca and vitola, I smoke whatever cigar that fits my mood at that time. Sometimes I'd crave a Bolivar petit corona or Partagas 898 for the full bodied smoke after a big dinner. Sometimes I'd want a creamy Montecristo No. 4 in the afternoon. When it's cold outside and I just want a quick smoke, nothing fits the bill better than some H. Upmann half coronas. I'd spark up a Ramon Allones double corona when I want to kill 2.5-3 hours just relaxing. So for me, my "favorite" CC is the cigar that strikes my mood at that given time.
Trent0341 Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 My favorite regular production (for now anyway) is the Cohiba Lancero. There are still a lot that I have yet to smoke so that may change.
maverickdrinker Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 welcome to the world of CCs. try as much as you can to get a sense of what appeals to your palate. My top 4 are Cohiba, Montecristo, RA and Trinidad. Coming up are ERDM and Bolivar. Have fun bro.
dangolf18 Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 RyJ, Trinidad, and Cohiba never let me down...
Overproof Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Bolivar, in particular the belicosos finos. Nice spiced full flavor for me, good size too.
sharks Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Cohiba Siglo VI, love the size the spicy notes and the H Upmann are the goers for me atm
Upmann2009 Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Upmann magnum 46 & 50 with 2 years + on them. Also PSD4 are always good when young and even better when aged (never have a chance to have any d4 with more than 2 years, Rob's review make me drooling)
