Hi, I am looking for some guidance on the differences between the Epicure 1 and 2. I love both a Toro and Rothchild / Robusto size, so it is hard to decide, but I am wonder how different is the blend. I am not looking for reviews, but more or less flavor profiles when compared to one another.

Is there much of a difference?

Thanks,

Rob

I only had two No.1's and one No.2 but I like the creaminess of No.1 better than the No.2. The No.1 along with the Epicure Especial are on my ever expanding list of boxes to buy.

I find similarity in the flavour profiles of both cigars but there are some differences. When fresh, the Epicure No. 2 can be a bit of a sweet cigar, at least they were about 5 years ago. Let them age and the sweetness is replaced with a more darker coffee and chocolate. The Epicure No. 1 after 4 or 5 years of age has a lot of the same flavours but with a bit more cedar. The No. 1, IMHO, can be a more complex cigar with a bit more evolution as it burns down.

My two cents worth.

I find the blend similar but prefer the consistency of the Epi 1 and the size too.

I can not say much about the Number 1's, I just really found the HDM line this year with the Epicure #2 and I really dig what they have going on. Delicious creamy vanilla, chewy fresh baked bread. I honestly can not get enough of these. Good luck cigar.gif
