I've got Crockett & Jones, Cheaney and Loake, pretty much into English shoemakers. I've recently discovered Austro-Hungarian shoemakers beautiful shoes prob priced more than the Louboutins. I would give Allen Edmonds a shot in the future.

AEs are great shoes...I used to swear by them. The suckers last forever. I've got pairs that are over 10 years old. The occasional refurbishment does wonders. However, a few years ago I discovered Ecco. Love them. I used to think AEs were the most comfortable shoes until I tried these. Now I'm pretty much Ecco all the way.

Absolutely NOTHING compares to Ecco's for the price/value. They last forever..ok a really long time.

I read something about Rockport above.. LOL.. that's a joke if you want any semblance of comfort and do extensive walking..

Ecco is the way to go! If you don't want to pay full price check Nordstrom Rack. They usually have some older styles for 60-70% of regular price.
