Cohiba Stevie Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 http://www.stampsdirect.co.uk/self-inking-daterbr4mm-pet-400-24-p.asp Above is the link to a basic date stamper that would commonly be seen in post offices, receptions, hr depts etc. Im buying one because im going to start stamping actual date of purchase on the bottom of all my boxes. The reason behind this is so i can gauge quickly how much age they had since creation and the date i actually buy them. I also want to do it for those few boxes that i dont intend on touching for 10+ years. I had originally thought of keeping an excell spreadsheet but thought this is much simpler. Whats more, i can use all my despatch emails from czars to backdate nearly all my existing stock. Any thoughts? Many thanks.
phidelt076 Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Although I don't do the exact same thing you're looking to do, I do label all of my NC boxes with the month/yr of purchase. We have one of the p-touch label makers up at work that I use to make the sticker labels. You don't have to worry about ink fade or rubbing with those.

jayceskinner Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 There is actually an iPhone app called "myhumidor" which allows you to record your inventory and date them as well. I use this on my iPad and it has come in handy a few times and its free.
rckymtn22 Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 I use an Excel spreadsheet with all kind of columns recording pertinant information about the boxes or sticks.
winelover Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 The factory box date works for me fine. If you buy from Rob or another reputable vendor you shouldn't have any concerns about how it has been stored from factory box date up until you receive it.

LLC Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 I use an Excel spreadsheet & Mobile Stogie for iPhone. X2 for both.
