amosnaim Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 Hi, I bought the Bolivar 108 RE Spain (2010) on my recent trip to barcelona. Only bought one stick as a sample - what a mistake that was... this is by far one of the best cigars i smoked this year. Smoked it last night during poker night. Such a complex, rich, smooth cigar. The second third had an amazing fruitiness aspect to it - apricot, cherries and other fruits flavors. tons of smoke. Never had this flavor profile out of a Bolivar. 94 cigar for me. i was wondering if anyone else had a similar experience with this cigar or another Bolivar? cheers

I am surprized they are not sold out! Cheers, Alex
mk05 Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 I am surprized they are not sold out! Well, they are in Spain.
hsmunoz Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 interesting, I have box #1 of this regional, as well as a few others hanging about, I gave some away but haven't smoked one yet. good to hear they are getting good reviews.
pinotguy Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 I'm quite new to Cubans, but believe it or not, this was my first Cuban purchase ever. I'd read where this was a planned RE for Spain some months before it was released. Once I found a reputable source, I ordered a box and loved every second of them. What roped me in was the vitola. The CG has to be the greatest of all time.
ChanceSchmerr Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 I probably had a young one or something - I tried one in Palma last year while my ship was in port, and thought it was downright pedestrian.....so I'm glad to hear that my first impressions were off the mark! Guess I should have picked up more to lay down! Ah well. Glad to hear they have come around!
mk05 Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 I thought it was OK at best... They're still widely available right?
amosnaim Posted September 10, 2012 Author Posted September 10, 2012 They're still widely available right? I saw them on both trips to Barcelona this year.
