demiurgic Posted September 11, 2012 Author Posted September 11, 2012 I did message Rob to read my flavor profile preference, however it ended up into a "gimmie something Epic Rob" sort of conversation, lol! Nonetheless... Pleased with Czar's service as always and my choices are fine for now. Leaves me with lot more cigars to try in the future! cheers!
jedipastor Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 Given the "favorite flavor profile" you list, I think that Cohiba is an obvious choice. However, I REALLY recommend you spend more time with HdM as well as Trinidad, as you might find both of those to be excellent marcas.
demiurgic Posted September 11, 2012 Author Posted September 11, 2012 Which vitolas would you try (if someone has never tried any in this marque) in HDM? the plethora of French Royalty in that marque throws a newbie off.
ramon_cojones Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 epicure 1 is very good especially recent production, probably my fav hdm
demiurgic Posted September 12, 2012 Author Posted September 12, 2012 I'll look into those as well. I think I need to try a HDM 2 first (I do prefer fuller bodied smokes) And to top it off, I've been introduced to Cigar Books! Thanks to Nino and the boys in the book section of FOH, I found out about the new one! A good friend whose willing to walk over to his LCDH (next to his house apparently; lucky fella) and is sending over the new Book of the Habano to me! Oh happy days
mk05 Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 HdM is an interesting beast. Big range there, with the Epicure and the le Hoyo. I personally enjoy the le Hoyo serie better, since I like creme and sugar. I would have thought you'd buy the aged JL#2 Rob put up, that was pretty much a match made in heaven there.
demiurgic Posted September 12, 2012 Author Posted September 12, 2012 Bought some Bolivars PC's and custom rolls instead Someone hide my wallet, as I try to make up for the last two years of being in a Habanos NO-BUY-ZONE (It all went to the new Company Launch.)
