Anyone have any news on this? No, Marc, but I read it as well & source is credible, supposed to increase prices as from tomorrow, so I sent off a request to HAV for 50 boxes right away today ... Problem is my buddy there is a cigar smoker himself and I'm not arriving until late October .... jk

Recent increases have had more impact on online vendors than on European markets controlled by the state. I hope Habanos SA and European retailers stop ripping us off! If you think you're ripped off buy elsewhere or buy something else, prices never go backward.

The prices of an online retailer I use went up more than 20%. I mainly blame this on Habanos SA. It's true that there should be "acceptable" increase in prices but more than 20% over night is pretty unreasonable. What's more is the consistency of the cigars I've bought recently being utter cr*p. D4s, Petit Edmundos, Trini Reyes, CoRo (from different vendors) have been very very inconsistent and sub par. In short, if I see a steep increase in prices but a drop in the quality, I get the idea of being ripped off.
