Phone Call this Morning - I'm a Police Suspect

Recommended Posts

I had a wedding on the weekend to attend. So last week I drop my suit in to get dry cleaned. Had it all in my diary to collect it on Thursday on the way to the airport couldn't be simpler. Anyway am on my way to dinner on Wednesday night at 6:59pm when I drove past the dry cleaners so I thought I would drop in and pick it up. The girl was closing the door for the day but let me squeeze in and collect my suit. They closed the door behind me and I was the last person to collect their clothes for the day.

The next night as I was flying up north I am watching the in-flight news on the plane when an article appears about a massive blaze on Wednesday night at a dry cleaners in Brisbane destroyed everything. I almost choke on my stale bread roll as I realise it is my dry cleaners. If I had collected my suit on Thursday as planned it would have been burnt, and I would have had to go naked to the wedding.

Here is a link to the article

So I have a good chat to all about how I was the last person to get their clothes out of there. By the way NO I wasn't smoking a cigar and dropped it as I left.

But this morning the police called me as all of my details were on file and being the last person there they wanted to see if I knew anything. Hopefully they believed my story but has made for an entertaining day.

Lol this is kinda funny, I have to admit. Hey at least you got your suit. Devine intervention.

Geez, Smithy. Burning down the dry cleaners because you didn't like the way she pressed your pants is totally uncalled for! :P

Looking at the article, it looks like the fireman is pushing the truck! I know petrol is expensive, but damn! That's taking cost cutting a bit far!!

This morning when I called and spoke with you Smithy, you did sound rather nervous.wink.gifbiggrin.gif

Are we sure El Prez wasn't sleeping out back of the dry cleaners setting off the alarms and fire as he so happens to have a track record of at least setting of the smoke alarms around Sydney etc!!teacher.gifwink2.gifpeace.gif
