Doh...posting late I'm afraid. Haven't been on the forum as regularly as I would like. Been steadily working out and dieting. I haven't weighed myself in a few days, but I'll post up a pic tonight. I'm weighing in around 194lbs now...still have some work to go to hit my goal of 175lbs. Still...I believe I've lost about 40 or 45lbs since this competition started. Don't think that will be enough to win on a percentage basis, but I definitely look and feel better...what better reward can you have than that? Thanks Prez...

Here's the photo of the new lighter me, or at least my feet on the scale...

Missed the deadline here, and won't be able to weigh and photo for a few days yet. Last I weighed myself, about a week and a half ago, I was at about 254 lbs, just a bit under I think from where I started. Progress was definitely delayed over the last few months - had a fairly serious/worrisome knee injury at work, which took me off the normal workout program at the academy, and definitely hampered my efforts to push my cardio workouts. Just getting back going into things again now, so it should all be flowing smoothly for my cardio into the end of summer.

OK I never really got going with this. Not sure why I would have really like to have those cigars. Oh well I only lost 5 lbs total but since I started working out I feel better just don't look any different.

I started at 212.5 lbs and this morning in my birthday suite I was 199.5 lbs.

I started off like gangbusters losing 10 pounds in the first couple of months, but didn't have the dedication to add exercise like I should have to continue to lose. I did drop two inches off of my waste and I have more energy. After our daughter is born in August my wife and I are joining a local health club to REALLY get in shape. My goal is stud status by my 33rd birthday in about a year and a half :)

You guys are all awesome... some really good results here- though this event should have been sponsored by a bathroom-scale company; by the end of the post I'd seen so many different models I have a hankering to go out and buy a new set :D

I too wish I had been in time to join this- perhaps the next one. I need to drop around 10kg to participate in Tough Mudder end of September... we are all signed up. Lately I've been dieting and cycling\jogging but, as this thread proves, there is nothing like comradery and a common goal to get results!

Well done to you all, massive effort!

Never heard of tough mudder till I clicked your link. Interesting, might see if some work mates are interested in the Sydney February event.

Rob, when will the 2nd comp start?

Congrats to all. There were some really good losses out there.

Thanks Rob for this contest. I was already in the weight loss mode but this definitely helped kick it in high gear for me.

Time to go shopping!!

Congrats all, what a fantastic comp. this was. Great to see so many people making an effort to get healthier. Remember, the longer we live, the more days we have to smoke cigars! Smoke in good health, gentlemen.

Wow! Top 5 all lost over 20% of body weight during the contest. That is tremendous. Great job to all and again, thanks to the Prez for the inspiration.

Congrats all around guys, but especially to our winner. Good job done by all. I'm impressed...

Great job everyone. Especially to the winner Full bodied who lost almost a quarter of his starting weight. You now need a name change to three quarters bodied. Unreal! Special thank you to El Presidente for lighting the fire to get me started.
