Sutton Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Well I'm told from a chum of mine that there is a "Cuban" cigar called moon river crooks . It is from the 70's era and in not a 100% sure it's a Cuban make, to me it doesn't sound Cuban and I have tried doing a little research on Trevors site and can't find anything which also makes me believe that it is not Cuban. If anyone can shed some light on this cigar please do. Thanks
canadianbeaver Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 A simple search turned up this? http://firecured.blogspot.ca/2010/04/moonshine-crooks-cigars.html
Sutton Posted June 11, 2012 Author Posted June 11, 2012 That's what I found too, I must question this chum of mine again too. Thanks Lisa
CaptainQuintero Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Maybe made from imported Cuban tobacco. I read a few weeks back that NC Brickhouses started off pre-embargo being rolled in the US but made with all cuban tobacco brought over from Cuba. Obviously that stopped after the revolution. Or maybe not, I'm just throwing stuff out there to see if it sticks
Jean Posted July 20, 2018 Posted July 20, 2018 Sorry, but all above replies are wrong!.Moon River Crooks (not Moonshine, or just Crooks) did exist in the '50s and 60's and were so dark nearly black and twisted like a single Culebra.Don't no if any Cuban content but our house painter had one in his beak at all times to ward off the paint fumes and I was fascinated but too young to buy any for myself.
