Striper fishing at the top of the Chesapeake

Early spring the big rockfish (Striped bass) come up from the ocean and journey to the upper Chesapeake Bay to spawn,

for a couple weeks you can catch&release before giving them a few weeks off (no fishing allowed)

Was a good year up in the 'flats'.

Not the biggest I've landed but there were plenty. Also ended up with a big largemouth bass caught on a Tony spoon.
