Is it possible to source out authentic Havanas in Costa Rica? I'm landing in San Jose and driving to Dominical (small town off the south pacific coast). I've read a ton about how many counterfeits there are in CR but I'm still hoping to find some authentics and maybe even bring some back.

PM me or post if it's within the rules. I can't go down there and smoke crap....

Great Dominicans as well... Get yourself a couple of La Aurora peferidos in the colored tubes . Esp. the silver or blue.

Hmmm...try a non-Cuban cigar, eh? Never thought of that. Good suggestion, though. I guess I'm going to have to. I'm going to bring in some crappy little Puritos with me (if they pass customs) but if I'm smoking that then I might as well try some of the local or Dominican fare.

Gotta love those CR addresses. Thanks for the heads up, though. I didn't think CR even had a CC distributor. I'm only in San Jose for a few hours, though but I'm going to try and get to that so-called address. I'm staying outside of Dominical for the most part, situated in the mountains of a private gated community with all of three neighbours that are acres and acres away from me. I'm so thankful my best friend is rich
