Meh - much prefer the Familiares but the whole line doesn't do much for me.

Hi Orion!

Have you seen Colt's recent review of a Clasico from 2008:

as well as mine of a 1999 specimen?

If they are smoking good fresh from the box, 3 to 5 years of aging will turn them into fantastic smokes!

Best,

I haven't had a Vegas Robaina in a while. I had some bad experiences in the past. Both with the Clasicos and the Don Alejandro. Really acrid and lots of ammonia. The Clasicos were relatively new and the Don Alejandros I let them age for 3 or 4 years, and still didn't do it.

People say that these cigars have a wonderful chocolate profile when properly aged. Just never had one that caught my attention.

Thanks everyone. It seems when this cigar is good it's REALLY good. I also like that almost every review I have read has almost the same flavors being identified by the smokers. From what I have seen reading about different cigars different people taste and smell different things all of the time. I really like the profile of this cigar and am going to buy a box to age, especially now that they have been discontinued...
