I like your attitude! Bravo! I've only been a member of FOH for a month, but long enough to know that I am in the right place. I knew the cigars were good. Hell, I've already bought 7 boxes. Now I know the people are the best. I'm where I belong!

I think I know where the packaging idea came from. He started with a lot of 'new' ideas, including olive drab packaging!

Well the Forces of Darkness in the Federal Government have finalised their Plain Packaging Legislation for Cigars. It will quickly pass parliament (both houses) and will come into effect December 2012 subject to legal challenge currently underway.

Let's assume it gets up. What does it mean for FOH.

1. It doesn't affect Exports ie Shipments outside of the country. Nor does it affect the OLH (on line humidor) stock.
2. For Aussie members who do not want plain packaging (yes...all of us), I have arranged an offshore portal for you to order through. Your shipments will come into Australia with no plain packaging nor health warnings. This will be in effect by the last quarter of this year.
3. The PSP/HQ/PE program will be greatly scaled down if not terminated. Stock up while it continues. Through necessity we will move a significant part of our operation offshore (well underway) and simple time mathematics will not allow me to pick 100% of FOH stock.
4. The Aussie *****A program will grow and grow as a true underground movement. Spread the word, be active and give the politicians hell. It is important that you are not disenfranchised. Know your local and national cigar loving brethren and get together.

As many of you know this legislation is being picked up by Canada and the UK subject to the success of legal challenge here in Australia. It really is important that you organise your consumer associations now.

The reality is that FOH by going truly global (distribution based largely offshore), will explode in its growth. It is something I have avoided for 5 years as I enjoy the simplicity of being an Aussie based supplier to mates worldwide. Still we have to move with the times and the challenges put in front of us.

Let me be very bloody clear.

Fools -- taking away freedom one bill at a time, confiscating wealth based on the good of the masses and convincing more everyday that giving up freedoms is worth it for the common good. You all know where this has happened before, right?

The stupidity of the out of control central planner State is never more evident than in something like this.

Stage one, you put on the box how bad smoking is for you! It does not stop smoking!!!

Stage two, you put stupid pictures on the box. Frankly, you copy the ads from Hustler magazine, and the far left loon who came up with the idea, pasting pictures of smokers lung tissue all over the place. It too does not work!

Stage three, you cover the package removing from view all the factory packaging, presumably the stickers too now!!! It too will not work!

The logic of the "all powerful government".... once you fail put more money into it, take more private property and personal freedom, then fail again. Fail again... and again... and again!

Add another business that will end up in China.

If I were a tobacco company, I would take that State picture of the girl in the bed with the O2, put a smile on her face, a cigar in her hand, and ashtray on her lap and add the caption, "Government will hound you to your death bed, take my word for it."

I disdain both sides.

While I generally associate with the "right", I agree with this statement wholeheartedly. Both sides merely want more control over us and go about seeking that by regulating our personal freedoms.

Cigar, glass and extended middle finger, I stand with you all.
