Hello,

I am looking for a rich and full cigar with tastes of leather and hazelnut cream and tons of smoke.

I don't like if a cigar ist too woody in taste.

Thanks in advance and

best regards,

G.

Welcome aboard, Mr. Threepwood :D

Mhmm, leather+cream-wood... can't really think of anything with this profile - sorry. Maybe a Monte PE but not much leather in those.

Try the H Upmann Connoisseur No. 1, the Upmann No 2 or Mag 50, maybe the Hoyo De Monterrey Des Deux, Epi No 1, Epi No 2 or du Dauphin.

You should find what you are looking for somewhere in that and the main thing is you'll have some fun finding out which one suits you best :)

Epi 1 and Epi 2 have quite a bit of wood...

Thank you for your suggestions so far!

The H.Upmann No 2 is one of my favorite cigars but the Mag50 I tried so far had the strange "Old woman's perfume" CaptainQuintero mentioned once. (I found the same taste in a Juan Lopez Sel. No 1 recently.)

It not something regular, normally a one off and not a taste you get that often, especially not in a specific cigar. Probably worth trying another one, you most likely won't taste it again for a long time and then it will probably be in a totally different cigar.

I think you'll probably find what you're looking for in the Connie #1 or Des Dieux if the recent ones I've had are anything to go by.

Thanks again.

I have a Cab of Des Dieux and tried some Connoisseur No. 1.

Both are great but also mild. The Des Dieux also has some floral aromas.

In order, El Rey Del Mundo Choix Supreme, Cohiba Siglo III, and San Cristobal Officios.

Magnum 50's really are the best fit to the flavor profile you described, so as another poster mentioned, you might want to try getting some more or even just wait a few years if you already have some.

I also think about trying a Sir Winston.

The El Rey Del Mundo Choix Supreme is for sure a great cigar. Not sure if there is a difference between Box of 25 and Cabinet of 50.

I'm thinking H. Upmann Magnum 50 of an Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure Especial.

I think you will find the recent QDO Imperiales enjoyable. POL OCT 10 I believe is the current code. I find them to be very creamy with quite a bit of leather as well as black pepper. Medium to med/full. The Partagas factory in 10' and 11' is on fire!

I never smoked a Sir Winston - I considered it as an option.

I smoked H.Upmann No.2 and they had full, lush and rich leather and hazelnut flavours especially in the 2nd third. Still I can't remember I ever tasted wood in a H.Upmann No.2.

Behike 52..it will take you on a ride and you'll forget what sort of profile you wanted and enjoy the creamy, rich, sweet flavour of a classic..
