CanuckSARTech Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 A praying mantis shrimp? Praying??!?! Seriously Ken?!!?!?! Does everything have to be about religion and the church with you?!?!?! Just kidding, KBG. Seriously, thanks for sharing that - very good pictures of a neat little creature. Cheers.
Rushman Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 I'm gonna have shrimp cocktail nightmares for weeks now.

Ken Gargett Posted February 28, 2012 Author Posted February 28, 2012 A praying mantis shrimp? Praying??!?! Seriously Ken?!!?!?! Does everything have to be about religion and the church with you?!?!?! Cheers. scarier than you might think. photo in this morning's paper. my first glance thought it was a schoolgirl holding a snake. that is what it looked like from the angle. but no, it was a schoolgirl reading a bible. seriously. if i have this wrong, i am in such deep trouble.
mk05 Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 Ken, that is...not a shrimp. A shrimp is a useless little thing scooting around the ocean running for its life. Look at those formidable claws. What shrimp you know can smash aquarium glass. I wouldnt even want to eat that...looks too evil. How did he find that thing in the water? Sharp eyes!
gersonmorelli Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 They make great sushi out of this in Japan! I believe it's called shako.
