It's the 1st of March so time to report.

I'm currently at 97.9kg, with the camera of course. That makes about 6.76% weight loss. I am happy with that, although I could have done better, but there's still plenty of time to reach my goal.

It is very horrible not to eat any chocolate! I've used to eat about 1kg a week. :D

But, I have to say I already feel better than a month ago.

I started off phenomenal (278lbs)126.098 kg Guessing a lot of water weight . Started a cardio program last week and didn't lose anything. I think my caloric intake was too low. I'm 6'1" and I was eating 1400 calories. I have since added 3 days of weight training in addition to the 3 days of cardio and also upped my calories to 2100. Hoping this helps. Even if I don't lose much weight, I can't remember feeling this good!!

138.4 kg, and still a fat bastard.

I'm not worried about speed this time, even though that is the nature of the contest. I've found it easy to lose in the past yet hard to maintain, so not more "diets" for me.

So far I've simply stopped fast food, sodas, and chips, 100%. No frozen meals or weird canned stuff either. Next I think I'll work on getting more whole grains and move away from some of the bad carbs. Still drinking like a fish though... :buddies:

 That is what it is all about. With weight training and cardio you will see a change in your waistline etc. 2100 calories seems just about right if you are burning in the range of 400-600 calories during your workouts. The great thing about weight training is that even though you will gain muscle (weighs more than fat) it will increase the amount of calories your body burns at rest, so you will continue to burn fat even when you are not working out. If you keep your calories inline you won't bulk up and you should see some great results on the scale.

Keep up the good work brother. Before I got married I was at 200 lbs and within 3 months of cardio and light weight work I dropped 20 lbs. You are on the right track!

Have completely cut out carbs in the past and lost a bunch...a gained a bunch back. This time I'm really just watching portions, not eating late, taking it easy on the beer and adding more cardio. I started at 388 and weighed in today at 360lbs. So far so good.

Thank you for the encouragement!! I'm not quite sure if my workouts are burning in the range of 400-600 calories. I don't have a heart monitor and due to never using one, I'm not sure if they are worth it. I will have to check my weight and most importantly, my measurements on sunday then adjust if need be.

Weighed 96.6 kilos today, (about 7 less)

almost a bit surprized as I don't exercise which I should. Not even counting calories.

Just cutting carbs in the evenings and no alcohol for two weeks (Who would have thought...)

Good luck everybody!

jumped on the scales this morning and almost fell off down to 94.0 now that's 3.1 lost :)

136.9kg today which is I believe, 6.3kg down.

Good but should have been better. Fell off the wagon a few times, including a big work bender and who can refuse free beer and deep fried snacks!

Treated myself to 2 dozen of Bluff's finest oysters, 1/2 a dozen RASCC, an HU Mag 50 and finally a RA LE Extra as a reward this weekend. Well, I probably would have had them anyway but...

go ahead and get this done... weighed in at 293.8lbs (133.3kg) this morning. Was down to 292... was on my way to break the 290 mark, but I had a little scare come from my mom and her health... so it caused some stress recently..

Btw, my mom is doing fine! :2thumbs:

Started at 256.2 (?) lbs, or 116.4 kgs. Currently sitting at 253 lbs (115 kgs?). I definitely need to get my butt going again with all this. Been eating much better again over the past few weeks, and starting to step up my workouts from three a week, up to five times a week now (with three of them heavy on the cardio). I also know I need to start drinking way more water, and less milk and juices.

I have fallen victim to a busy work schedule. My eating habits have not changed but my exercise habits have decreased. I have actually put on a pound to 226 (started at 225), so my Kg weight is 102.511876 kg. I must get off my buttox and get to work at working less and exercising more.

Good job to the others in this competition. I am seeing some impressive results out there. Keep up the good work. Now lets see if I can get back in the mix.

Dear all,

I am down to 82.5 kg, not bad considering that the only action I have taken so far beside skating with my kids was to put a stop to my every evening nightcap!

Next step which I intend to take this week is abolishing my morning muffin. However, the real challenge will come the week after with my return to the gym (wish me luck!).

All the best,

Michel

Down 5.4 kilos to 108.3

This is mainly due to 10 days in Cuba eating chicken rice & beans, avoiding seafod beacuse i'm allergic to it, and switching from Buccanero fuerte to Kristal (less calories  ).

Of course the 10-12 cigars I was smoking a day while over there probably helped supress the appetite a bit compared to the 2 or 3 a week I normally smoke in Ireland!
