Handed in my notice of resignation this morning

You'll be right Ryan. The kids grow so quickly it is easy to miss out on important time with them.

I went from a permanent job to a 12 month contract when I changed jobs and felt a bit unsure of it from the point of view of keeping a steady income for the family.

I found that speaking to my boss at about the 8 month mark to see how he thought I was looking for an additional 12 months was the best thing I did. He said the company would be happy to keep me on so I can feel a bit more secure now.

Will do the same again at the next 8 month mark as it gives me a chance to start looking for work if necessary,

Good Luck

Mike

You've done the right thing, Andy!

3 years ago - I quit a well paying, secure job of 17 years to start a new career earning less money and working more hours.... I was very nervous about whether I was making a bad decision or not.... but I have never once regretted the decision.

Good luck and remember to enjoy the ride, mate!
